PREOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS:
- Gross Nasal Deformity & nasal obstruction secondary to deviated septum.
- Septal Deviation.
PROCEDURE:
- Fracture and submucous resection of left & right turbinate.
- Complex septoplasty (open & closed approach) for correction of deviated nasal septum.
- Open Rhinoplasty.
FINDINGS: C-shaped septal deformity with convexity to right (obstructing airway approximately 80%) and caudal septum deviated to right, large left spur, right greater than left hypertrophied turbinates. After the procedure, the caudal septum was improved approximately 90%. 3+ narrow left middle vault. Vertical nasal bone on right; splayed nasal bone on left. Photodocumentation was performed.
COMMENT: Nose continues to improve. Patient has experienced improvement in breathing and softer nasal appearance.
